1. What is the difference between a home health agency and a non-medical home care agency?
-
Non-medical home care is care for people needing assistance with ADLs (activities of daily living). These activities may include trips to the doctor, showering, toileting, reminders to take the right medication at the right time, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, shopping, and Alzheimer’s or dementia care. The goal is to find a companion that the senior will feel safe with.
-
Home Health is providing medical services in the home, such as nursing services, physical therapy, or other professional medical services such as wound care and occupational therapy.
-
Hospice care is giving supportive care to people in the final phase of a terminal illness. The focus of Hospice care is to give comfort and higher quality of life, rather than attempting to cure. This allows client/patients to be pain free and comfortable for their final days. Hospice care is provided as Home Health care. Typically, a Non-Medical home care provider can work with hospice to provide the best outcome for the client.
2. What cities do you provide services in?

-
In the Phoenix area we provide services in North Scottsdale, South Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Tempe, Chandler, Ahwatukee, Mesa, Gilbert, Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, and Queen Creek.
3. Why hire a caregiver through an agency as opposed to a private duty caregiver?
An agency will provide the following to give you a worry-free experience:
- Conduct background checks and verify all certifications and references
- Hold liability, bond, and workers compensation insurance
- Can accept most insurances that will pay for Non-Medical home care
- Can provide a replacement if a caregiver does not show up
- Handle all payroll, payroll tax, and reporting
